No filibuster reform!!

All talk and no action again. Procedure was blamed again and again for not getting more bills passed in the Senate. The biggest procedural problem was the filibuster that allowed republicans in the Senate, republicans who represented a small minority of people, to block anything from the budget being passed to ice cream being served.

The opportunity to modify the filibuster rules has come and gone. The Senate adjourned, ending the opportunity. So much for Senate leadership. So much for opportunity. This was a FAIL of dramatic proportions.

So what next. The fail on this year's budget and then the fail on the debt ceiling. Oh and the president is going to propose a budget soon, yet another fail?

I am scared that nobody has the power to work towards solving the problems facing the nation. Yeah, health was one of the problems. But now there are so many and health care still is a major problem. Democrats cannot even fix a simple procedural rule problem in the Senate. How can they be expected to run the country.

There is no question that republicans are crazy, perhaps paranoid schizophrenic. They certainly have two minds. They certainly are afraid of their own shadows. They certainly are making proposals that will ruin the country and the world quickly.

But there are no realistic proposals coming from democrats. Democrats only look good because republicans are sooo terrible. What do we do? I do not know.
