The Most Patriotic City in America 2009 has occupation movement..will they pass the test?

All eyes will be peeled to this little town of approximately 8000 people.
They have a lot to live up to.
In the year 2009 this little town was named the MOST
PATRIOTIC TOWN IN AMERICA. Now comes the test.
Occupy Wall Street..Inverness

So far so good..but no one is that involved yet. This town has a lot to live up to when They were presented an award naming them the most patriotic city in America.
in 2009. They received the award in New York City. This was before Scott tissue took over but the test is here.

Inverness wins national award for 'most patriotic'

The city of Inverness has recently been notified it has won the national award for the "Most Patriotic City."
The city had previously been named as the "Most Patriotic City" in Florida, and was then entered into national competition for the award.
Citrus County Commission Chairman John Thrumston made the announcement of the award at today's county commission meeting. "It says a lot for who we are and how we treat our veterans," Thrumston said.

The national award will be presented to the city on Sept. 11 in New York. Thrumston said he planned to attend.

This is a beautiful area and is a blend of republican and democratic leadership.
The area is feeling the hurt of the top 1 percent, however and it shows when
there are homeless on the outskirts of town. People feel the pain of unemployment
and of course BB&T along with Bank of America, Regions, and Wells Fargo lines the business
district of Hwy 44. Walmart employees are regular customers of payday loans as I was told by a Walmart employee. I was informed that at least 60 percent of the
Walmart employees depend on payday loans in Inverness to get through payday to payday. More and More homes are being seen as For Rent or For Sale.
The representative in Congress is a former Sheriff from the adjoining county.Richard Nugent (R) former sheriff of Hernando county now represents the 4th district.

This is a clip from 2009. I feel if ever there was any town under a microscope of democracy, this one might be it. With no threat of bad weather to shut down
an Occupy movement, the #OWS movement will have full cooperation or the city will not live up to it's name of patriotism. This is the test. This town consists of few opportunities for
employment at all but has a friendly feel and according to Wikepedia is not the first time to be occupied.

here is a clip from the patriotism parade. It is my sincere desire this small town voted the most patriotic will allow the OWS protestors, as it grows, enjoy their rights to free speech and assembly of a peaceful movement. My plea to the leadership will be to really live up to their name and join the movement. Afterall, it is not about democrats or republicans but about the 99 percent who is being literally destroyed by the 1 percent. It is about a young marine in Oakland, California who was abused after two tours of Iraq.

I posted a diary yesterday about Occupation Inverness but did not have all of this rich history to go on until today. It is the very place to have an occupation movement.
