The following was posted by an Egyptian participant of Anonymous on a collaborative pad a few minutes ago; I'm sharing it here for those who would like a view of the Egyptian revolution from one of the Tunisians who worked to help inspire such an improbable thing by way of his own country's revolt, which, as seen below, still needs our assistance. his is a message from a Tunisian friend and I think you ALL need to read this to understand what is REALLY going on in Egypt. it is VERY interesting..
I quote:
"First of all i don't want you to worry about Mubarak... he's leaving anyway.. i mean of course the sooner would be the better... but there are way more important challenges to deal with at this point..
The US called for an orderly transition in Egypt, which i remind you they did not do in the Tunisian case, because they're aware of the fact that only a checkpoint stands between you guys and the neo-nazi state of Israel... they are also aware that Egypt was the birth-place of Pan-arabism, and of Gamal himself, peace be upon him... the muslim brotherhood, also has similar opinions toward the Israeli neighbour... all these factors combined have always dictated the conduct of the US foreign policy in Egypt, and that is not going to change anytime soon...
Now we all agree that Mubarak is leaving at some point.. it's all a matter of timing right? so who do you think gets to chose the perfect timing? i'll tell you! The US intelligence and foreign affairs...
Mubarak is gonna leave whenever he gets the phone call telling him to leave, that is the deal, that is more or less what happened to our president...
What you guys are doing is crucial though... by maintaining the pressure on the US government you are giving them a smaller range of options to chose among..
Now think about what the Americanos want.. they want you to be able to express yourself freely without harming their major interests in the area that are majorly focused on protecting Israel's sovereignity... how are they gonna do that? by calling for an orderly transition..
What they call an orderly transition, is not the kind of change you guys want... what they mean by that is that they're willing to cut off the head of the repressive regime, but not the roots... They're calling for a transitory period where the Mubarak regime would remain in power without Mubarak himself... that is what Suleiman's mission is...
In a couple of days you will wake up to great news.. Mubarak's is gone, and Suleiman is the new temporary head of state until free elections are held within a year or 6 months...
of course free is a relative notion.. they will only let you chose among a small range of US compatible political options... they're probably going to support El Baradei's campaign for presidency, since he seems to be both moderate and credible... they also have a couple of other options available...
In one word the transitory government has for mission, to hold free elections, and to ensure no US enemies win them...
Now a pertinent question would be.. what the hell are they waiting for..
Well as a Tunisian, and having experienced this kind of turmoil recently, i think i can answer that with a fair amount of accuracy...
The fact is the US are watching you suffer in silence, because they're aware of one universal truth that is... the more the people suffer, the less they demand, they want you to call for peace once Mubarak's gone.. the only way to do that is to make sure there are enough deaths and injuries and psychological instability among the people of Egypt at the time Mubarak leaves, that they're no longer to fight for MORE change... i mean if they let him go a couple of days ago, you guys would still be out of the streets demanding serious change, shaking the very foundations of the Mubarak regime that is, we know that for a fact, a US made regime... you guys would be protesting against Suleiman, as well as every corrupt police officer in town etc... the fact is, these guys, and by this i man the military command, the police force, and the Egyptian intelligence are the key instruments of the US power in Egypt, and they don't want you take them down, they want you to be down on your knees, tired and exhausted and insecure at the time Mubarak leaves so they can impose whatever transitory regime they want, one that fulfills their wishes for the people of Egypt, undercover of democracy....
That is very similar to what happened in Tunisia, and it actually succeeded, because we ended up accepting an interim government that has obviously been subjected to US approval before it was imposed on us...
and we only did so, because we were subjected to state scale terrorism.. armed gangs terrorized the country for days... and then these guys who call themselves the new government showed up on TV with smiling faces, claiming they solved the problem of insecurity.. so naturally most of my people keeled down, and almost kissed they're feet...
I wish this does not happen in Egypt...
I wish you guys stand for your freedom of thought before your freedom of speech...
i wish you don't fall in their trap, cuz that would be the start to something new.... And beautiful...
I'll keep praying for you, and if there's anything you wish to know about what happened in Tunisia i can get you whatever information you want from reliable sources...
I don't know if this all makes sense to you but i would like you to think about it, and potentially spread the word..
and if you have an interest whatsoever in the above i'd be glad to share with you a few more ideas about what i think should be done in Egypt, and can only done by you guys... my heroes, the heroes of the streets of mother Cairo :))
again.. lots of love"
