Somebody needs to point out that republicans and yes republicans from the states most impacted by the tornadoes want to cut funds for the agency that is providing relief from the devastation from those tornadoes. Yup, republicans want to cut FEMA's budget as part of the plan to reduce the federal government's size.
No one is telling the voters in those states, that their representatives are in favor of cutting the funds to the agency that is providing their constituents with relief. Why? Why isn't the White House yelling and screaming that disaster relief is part of what the federal government does.
The Mississippi is going to flood soon. Yet the representatives from the Midwest are all for cutting the agency that will provide relief funds to their constituents. Yet no one is telling them.
Soon hurricane season will be upon us. Are the states that will be most impacted by hurricanes ready and able to pick up the pieces without federal assistance. Hell no. Yet no one is pointing this out.
Instead I hear the White House promising relief. The President needs to be blunt, budget cut backs mean less relief. Sorry folks, that is what your representatives and and senators are doing to you. Thems the facts folks. Cut the budget, get less federal assistance.
So when will the president go beyond wonderful rhetoric and tell people the facts of life and stand up for the people? Tell me when. Now I am hearing the president is willing to make concessions to get the debt ceiling raised. So much for integrity. Oh, and the long form birth certificate is nothing but a side show. Now we are into some nonsense about Obama's grades. And republicans keep arguing about our children being left with a legacy of debt.
Well (and no I am not saying global warming caused the tornadoes) what about the legacy of severe weather, more droughts more floods, we are leaving our children. Oh global warming does not exist. What utter bull shit. Soon emergency relief for those who need it won't exist so we will not be able to deal with the severe weather legacy.
All in the name of trickle down, only the rich aren't even pissing on us us.
