Every summer for the past several years, NPI has created/sponsored a Washington Progressive Blogroll t-shirt which we take with us to Netroots Nation.
The t-shirt is essentially a wearable guide to the local blogosphere, listing all the active progressive blogs we know about in the Evergreen State.
The tradition of doing a t-shirt for the convention began at the very first YearlyKos four years ago. Our friend Ray Minchew came up with the idea. He handed it off to us the following year, and we’ve been carrying it on ever since. They are a rather unique item because we only print a limited number each year.
Because we like things that last, we work with a professional designer and a union print shop to create and produce shirts that will still look like new even after they’ve been through a zillion wash cycles.
Although we can only afford to print an extremely limited number of extra shirts (which will be sold to those who want them on a first-come, first-served basis) we do have the ability to guarantee you a shirt in the size that fits you at the low price of $20… as long as you preorder before midnight on June 2nd.
This year’s t-shirt will be royal blue with white text and yellow/green graphics, as seen in the images to the right.
To place your order, follow this link. Once you select a t-shirt size, you’ll be able to pay via credit card over an encrypted connection. Shipping is automatically calculated based on the number of t-shirts you order.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: When will I get my t-shirt(s)?
A: As soon as we get the product from the print shop, we’ll begin shipping out orders. This will be in mid-June. If you opt for pickup at checkout, we’ll be in touch to figure out a time and place when we can get you your shirts.
Q: I’m not going to Netroots Nation. Can I still order a t-shirt?
A: Yes, absolutely! These are Washington Progressive Blogroll t-shirts… they just have a Netroots Nation theme.
Q: How do you select which blogs appear on the blogroll?
A: The blogroll is derived from Pacific NW Portal’s Regional Blogs Directory. Any progressive blog written by a Washingtonian that is being kept current is eligible for the blogroll. If your blog isn’t in the directory, let us know and we’ll get it added.
Q: What were the colors of past t-shirts?
A: In 2006 – orange. In 2007 – turquoise. In 2008 – purple. In 2009 – black. In 2010 – tan.
