As of this morning, there are still 13 shifts in the Netroots for the Troops booth still unfilled. If you are attending Netroots Nation this week, would you be willing to spend a couple hours pitching in? You'll get to meet lots of great progressive liberals and maybe even some celebrities like our very own Bill in Portland Maine and Common Sense Mariner (Michael). I understand Michael gives breathtaking hugs, one of which I have reserved for myself.
If you can help, please sign-up at the handy-dandy Google Doc spreadsheet I have created. Instructions for filling it in HERE.
We also have a few other needs:
- Wednesday before noon, TexDem (Tony) needs assistance from one or more burly types to help load a truck with stuff from Walmart. If you can help, please sign up on the Google Doc.
- TexDem is having to rent a truck for the Walmart delivery. If you or someone you know in the St. Paul/Minneapolis area has access to a large truck and would be willing to make it available to us for a few hours on Wednesday, please let me know as soon as possible. This will allow us to use the truck rent money for more important things like alcohol (kidding).
- Are you a professional, semi-professional or amateur-but-highly-talented photographer? We would like to have someone document NFTT throughout the week including the Big Event on Saturday. Please email me at eclectablog [at] gmail [period] com. Thanks!
If all of this is gibberish to you and you don't know what the heck I'm talking about, you can learn more about Netroots for the Troops HERE.
Thanks and see you in Minneapolis!
Chris/Eclectablog
