Of course, looking back, it's easy to realize that what should've happened was the breakup of these criminal banking cartels, and the temporary nationalization of the banking system (to allow time to clean the excrement).
Thousands of indictments. And we should have heard in the news about the accounts of a few high-profile suicides of many of these vampire-squid parasites, in different ways, as the authorities close down on them. Wrist slashing; by gun; or jumping.
Let me just say that the only reason I mention this is because historically that sort of thing happens in normal situations, when criminals at this level commit these huge crimes--in normal times.
Instead, the ones that are being driven insane, with nowhere to turn, and to countless suicides are the innocent people, direct victims of the actions of a tiny criminal cartel, protected by our government. The soldiers who are subjected to repeated tours of action, mainly for the benefit of greedy war profiteers. The head of family that after years of the relentless pressure caused by job loses, illness, bankruptcy, family disruptions, breaks down and decides to take her life rather than continue living in the hell created by these monsters.
Yes folks... We are about to be fucked one more time, using the good-old proven method of "shock-and-awe," the "shock doctrine."
They (the president included) are using fear to paralyze the good people of this country so the job of permanent subjugation and exploitation can be completed. They are now going for the coup de grâce, against whatever tiny sliver of democracy we still have.
Akin to pointing a fucking gun at your head and telling you, "Ok motherfucker, this is the deal. You are going to submit to living in serfdom, to being manipulated, controlled and exploited, and in exchange you get ti live. Take it or leave it."

No Mr. President. If you are a progressive, you know that those are the talking points of the extreme right wing. We know that these Rethugs don't give a shit about debt and deficits; we know that they facilitated (along with the Democrats) the looting of trillions of dollar; we know that they started unfunded wars for the benefit of their motherfucking war profiteers.
Mr. President, you have the bully pulpit. You can talk about any goddamned thing you want to talk about. You are the most powerful man in the world. You don't let sniveling bought off pieces of shit set the topic of discussion.
You do the right thing. You come to the American people and you tell it like it is. You say that yes, there is a time to deal with these structural economic issues, and we will do it, but that there are more pressing issues at hand--like the fucking 25% child poverty rate, and the persistent unemployment recession.
You do the right thing, Mr. President. You act with conviction. You tell the truth--the truth people are clamoring hearing from you.
And you don't help in covering up the crimes of these parasitic banksters. You exult the work the AG of New York is doing in trying to go after these criminals, Mr. President.
That's what you do. And if you did, people will support you.
If you wanted to do those things, Mr. President, you would have by now.
