Here is the audio of Rush being Rush.
As has been noted at length by the esteemed Senator from Minnesota, Rush Limbaugh is a big fat idiot. He has been for a long time. When we pressure corporations to drop this noxious gasbag, let's remind them not only of what Rush did to Sandra Fluke in smearing her as he has done with so many others, let's remind them of all of the other horrible, racist, hateful and sickening things Rush has said over their long corporate business relationship with Rush Limbaugh, Leader of the Republican Party. Rush didn't say this about President Obama yesterday, he said it on September 27th, 2011. It is just as unacceptable now as it was then.
And yet Corporations still sponsor Rush even after his latest attack on Sandra Fluke, and conservative politicians are terrified of speaking against the Kingpin of Wingnut voters. Rush Limbaugh is the leader of the Republican Party, always has been, Mitt Romney is just the guy running for President.
But it wasn't like Rush just became a toxic, sexist, racist, cruel and out of touch asshole yesterday. We should remind Rush's corporate sponsors of that, as well as every politician who refuses to denounce Rush Limbaugh for his long history of invective driven demonizing.
Rush will defend himself, he will say whatever it takes, he will go on and on about how the left is the real racist entity in politics, how the left is really sexist and how he isn't the leader of the Republican party. This is a cycle for Rush, a pattern. He will bash the left and excuse his ultra-radical conservative listeners while pandering to them with boogeymen name-association in an ever increasingly "THE SKY IS FALLING!" tone in the sexist, bigoted language they understand best, and eventually he will go too far again and fake another apology before rolling around in his own verbal excrement within his sound booth pig sty with glee, because this is what Rush does. He's been doing it for almost 20 years, back when David Letterman's audience booed Rush for trying out his blend of character assassination and conspiratorial economic sophistry on Hillary Clinton. The best part was when David Letterman reminded him "I know, but listening to and understanding the issues is too hard."
Whereas listening to Rush Limbaugh tell you who to hate and why is easy.
Corporate sponsored hate speech masquerading as entertainment and political opinion.
It's way past time to stick a fork in Rush.
