ROMNEY's LIE #2
ROMNEY: the action that the president took makes it more difficult to reach that long term solution
FACT:
That comment is so absurd yet, at the same time, it highlights the fact that Mitt Romney thinks Latinos are stupid.
President Obama's actions make it easier for any member of Congress to: draft a Bill using the language in President Obama's directive, pass the Bill and have the Bill signed into Permanent Law.
Now, the question is - would any Republican lawmaker support such Legislation? Hmmm ... I know, what about Marco Rubio? Would Marco Rubio support Legislation that has similar language to President Obama's directive?
Since March Marco Rubio has been pretending to support legislation that would not give students, whose parents brought them to this country at an early age, a path to Citizenship but would allow them to legally attend school in America -- Hey, that sounds like President Obama's directive!!!! Surely to God Marco Rubio would write that vision into a Bill, right?
No, Marco Rubio actually rejected his own Imaginary Dream Act-Like Bill as soon as President Obama issued his directive ... hmmmm ....
Marco Rubio rejected his own so-called idea of drafting a Bill aimed to allow undocumented students, who were brought here in their youth, to attend American schools.
Another Diary on here today explains it well. Rubio was only pretending to offer an Imaginary Dream Act-Like Bill for the sole purpose to deceive Latino voters to vote and support a Republican for President.
Excerpts from The Diary is Titled:
Marco Rubio's Imaginary Dream Act-Like Bill Rejected By: Marco Rubio
Rubio's aid said that:
"the announcement [by President Obama] has taken some urgency out of the need for legislation to help young undocumented immigrants."
~Rubio Legislative Aid to Huffingtonpost; June 16, 2012
Rubio did not use President Obama's directive as a
catalyst to actually write his Imaginary Dream Act-Like Bill that would
place President Obama's directive into permanent law. Instead, Rubio rejected his own Imaginary Dream Act-Like Bill and Rubio's aid said,
Senator Rubio may not introduce his bill because he believes the politics are now more difficult.
~Rubio's Aid on June 16, 2012
By, "politics are now more difficult" does Rubio mean he was lying through his teeth and never intended to draft any legislation and thought he could milk his pretend legislation through November?
Now you can all expect to hear Republicans chant the same garbage that President Obama's directive is flawed because it can be undone by any future President -- while at the same time, dodge and duck this question:
Why won't Rubio go ahead and draft the "Imaginary" Bill since he his been pretending since March that his "Imaginary Dream Act-Like Bill has the same language that is in Obama's directive?
