This is what passes for "satire" in the mind of Republican Senate candidate and former Rep. Peter Hoekstra and his team.
The "satire" was lost on most observers, including some fellow Republicans:
"Pete Hoekstra Superbowl TV ad in MI Senate race really, really dumb. I mean really," tweeted top GOP strategist Mike Murphy.
“Stabenow has got to go," wrote Michigan GOP consultant Nick De Leeuw on Facebook. "But shame on Pete Hoekstra for that appalling new advertisement. ... Racism and xenophobia aren’t any way to get things done."
So how much did Pete "Spend it Not" Hoekstra spend to offend most of the state of Michigan? That would be $150,000. Yep, Pete "Spend it Not" Hoekstra picked the most expensive airtime in the entire year to show just how "really, really dumb" he can be.
(But not so dumb that he didn't have ratings disabled on that YouTube video.)
