Just Don't Click On It

I haven't diaried on Kos in awhile but after following politics and being a member of KOS since 2008 I have to ask........

Why are we still paying attention and giving life to known flame throwers? Examples Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, Shawn Hannity....the list could go on and on. I guess Ann has just said something probably incredibly insensitive, stupid, & just untruthful or better said..A LIE.  Yet everytime I come onto Daily Kos, TPM, Slate, etc...there are diaries after diaries of something someone stupid has said.  We elevate these folks even more by giving more life to the trivial, foolish, & incendiary.  

Progressives always seem to be on Defense.  That needs to change. We need to spend our energies in the molds of the Melissa Harris Perry's & Chris Hayes.  These shows are deeply informative & thought provoking in a way I haven't seen in my lifetime.  So next time we see the most recent shenanigans in the press, blogs, tweets, etc. JUST DON'T CLICK ON IT!!

Our job should be to elevate the understanding of the low information voter by spending our limited time and energy on issues we want to advance.
