I did register for NN12--so I have a full registration available for the weekend. I know this is a bit late for people to make plans but I know some people do decide at the last minute. SO:
The standard registration is $395. I'll put my registration out there for the bargain starting price of $125. A bargain. In the comments section, put in your bid--highest bid by 6 p.m Eastern Time wins--I get on a plane to fly far away soon after that so I want to make sure it gets done.
I will notify NN staff of the transfer to the winning bidder and, then, send the person an email via DK mail, unless s/he posts a direct email in the bid comment. The winning bidder should then donate here to Netroots for the Troops--I'm basically going on trust of the community here :). If there is a hiccup in transfer, I'll be able to address it in about 24 hours.
This was not cooked up by Chris or anyone else...just my "well, damn, letting this registration just go would be a waste". At first, I thought of running this as a donation to a candidate but, well, I'll just say, in a positive way, I'm much more interested in activism than electoral politics right now.
And Netroots for the Troops is terrific activism!!!
Let the bidding begin!
