By way of Ed Brayton's facebook, I learned of this recent quote from Rep. Kevin Cramer (R - ND):

Forty years ago, the United States Supreme Court sanctioned abortion on demand. And we wonder why our culture sees school shootings so often.

Combined with Rep Steve Stockman's (R - TX) ridiculous bumper sticker:

If babies had guns they wouldn't be aborted.

and the Republicans have now crafted the ultimate talking point:

Because of abortion, kids have guns. If kids had guns, there wouldn't be abortions.

Oh my Gourd! Let the head asplodin' begin!
