Teddy bears!

Hand made cards by state of confusion

Main entrance of the Palo Alto VA Hospital
The Palo Alto VA Hospital is big. It has beds for 800 veterans and employs the help of over 2000 volunteers. Opportunities to volunteer at a VA hospital are really varied. There are volunteers who greet, who transport patients from one wing to another, who visit, and who work in all parts of the hospital. I understand that volunteering at a VA hospital is very, very rewarding. If there is a VA hospital near you, consider helping out!

Pam from Calif -- such a pleasure to meet her and her mom!

On the left is Vicky, who works with the volunteers. On the right is Bridget, unloading quilts.

Quilts and a bear!
There is a photo gallery here of our quilt delivery, photos by linkage. Thank you, linkage!
Ann and I would also like to thank everyone who made our trip to NN13 possible. You also made this quilt delivery possible! We are so grateful for your help -- and we hope that this project lifts some hearts in the hospital.
We hope to do something similar in Detroit next year. There is a large VA Hospital there, after all. More on this in upcoming DK Quilt Guild diaries!
