Small Biz Insurance Brokers: A Brief (?) Listing, Part One (AL to FL)

In view of the delay of the SHOP online insurance marketplace for small businesses, I decided to make a list (admittedly incomplete) of insurance brokers and agents I could find online that worked with small businesses (and who can ensure you get your tax credits). I'm starting with six states plus some national companies and will do more if people find this helpful.

Since those states with their own health care insurance exchanges are unaffected by the SHOP delay, I am focusing on the thirty-six states without their own exchanges. State-run sites with useful info are included.

NOTE: I make no endorsements here, just listing what I can easily find for each state online. Many if not most of these brokers provide free quotes. Do check with your local Better Business Bureau to see if there are any red flags against any of these entities, and see this as a departure point for your own searches, not as a total replacement for them. (Search suggestion: Put "small business insurance brokers" and the name of your state/city in a search engine.)
