Unfortunately in Kentucky we can take credit for one thing. Electing the two most unholy and god-awful people that ever "served" a state at the same time in the United States Senate. Chinese Communist Mitch McConnell and "Aqua-Buddha" High Priest Rand Paul. Neither of these men have any morals or scruples except this. They intend to continue the raping of the poor and middle-class and redistribute what little of American wealth these folks are still allowed upward to themselves.
It matters little to either McConnell or Paul that the middle-class and the working poor are already working harder and being more productive for a much smaller piece of the American pie. It matters little to them that in the last thirty years the wealthy have redistributed almost all American treasure to themselves while crashing the economy and bailing themselves out. It matters nothing still to them that high-paying jobs have been outsourced to places like China leaving poverty level jobs for Americans to do. To them, those that work hard for nothing should be punished further for simply wanting to pay their bills and feed their families.
Now with the sequester put into effect these evil, selfish men are showing their true colors once more. The Senator for Communist China Mitch McConnell says these cuts are "modest":
"This modest reduction of 2.4 percent in spending over the next six months is a little more than the average American experienced just two months ago, when their own pay went down when the payroll tax holiday expired," McConnell said during an appearance on CNN's "State of the Union."
McConnell defended his statement when pressed. "Well, but by any objective standard, cutting 2.4 percent out of $3.6 trillion is certainly something we can do."
McConnell framed the spending cuts as something Congress had promised the American people it would do.
"We've got to begin to cut spending," he said. "And we promised the American people we'd do it a year and a half ago and we're going to do it.

Now the High Priest and sole member of the Church of Aqua Buddha, the Mad Doctor with the twisty curls Rand Paul is adding insult to injury by saying that these cuts are merely a "pittance" and that we should ask even more blood from the poor and middle-class:
Last Tuesday, President Obama proclaimed that the sequester's "brutal" and "severe" cuts will "eviscerate" America's domestic spending.
But "eviscerate" is not the adjective I would use; in fact, I believe the sequester is a pittance.
First, I want to point out that these "brutal" and "severe" cuts were President Obama's answer to the 2011 debt-ceiling debate that was later passed by Congress; however, I voted against the sequester in 2011 because I knew that this was not the solution to our spending problem.
I believe that the sequester is a pittance that does not cut enough. If the sequester were to take effect, our spending would only be cut by 2.3%. Let me repeat that — these "eviscerating" cuts will leave our country with 97.7% of our current spending, cutting a mere $85 billion from this years $3.6 trillion budget.

And as much as I hate to admit it I can partially agree with them. You see, these cuts are modest and a pittance as compared to the amount of money that folks like Paul and McConnell have redistributed to themselves in the last thirty years or so. So little that in fact most Americans cannot even begin to suspect how bad things really are. This video explains nicely:
So indeed, to those who have redistributed the wealth of our country so far upwards it would not even fit on a chart this sequestration is indeed a "modest pittance". However the simple truth of the matter is this. Those are not the folks that the ungodly Senators from Kentucky expect to pay this "modest pittance". Do you want to see who they really expect should pay it?:
But the sequestration cuts, as they are called, still contain billions of dollars in mandatory budget reductions in programs that help low-income Americans, including one that gives vouchers for housing to the poor and disabled and another that provides fortified baby formula to the children of poor women.
Unless a deal is reached to change the course of the cuts, housing programs would be hit particularly hard, with about 125,000 individuals and families put at risk of becoming homeless, the Department of Housing and Urban Development estimated. An additional 100,000 formerly homeless people might be removed from emergency shelters or other housing arrangements because of the cuts, the agency said.
In Washington and across the country, families and individuals generally need to have very low incomes to be eligible for federal assistance. Public housing residents in Washington have an average annual income of just $12,911. More than 40 percent are either children or the elderly, and more than a quarter live with a disability. In the voucher program, the annual income is even lower, just over $10,000 a year, and similarly large proportions of residents are elderly, disabled or young.
Other programs that assist low-income families face similarly significant cuts, including one that delivers hot meals to the elderly and another that helps pregnant women. Policy experts are particularly concerned about cuts to the supplemental nutrition program for women, infants and children known as WIC, which provides food and baby formula for at-risk families.
Other cuts might not hit low-income Americans specifically, but their impact could affect vulnerable families disproportionately. Those include cuts to programs that aid children with special needs; job-training programs that help unemployed people find a new career; foreclosure prevention services; and programs that help 150,000 veterans every year make the transition into the nonmilitary work force.

So while Paul and McConnell may consider this a "modest pittance" because their sorry uncaring asses are covered to millions of Americans this is far from a pittance. Rand Paul and Mitch McConnell's vision of America is a cold, selfish place where folks like themselves can prey openly on the poor, disabled, seniors and children. While they sit in their ivory towers eating caviar they would throw millions of the most helpless Americans to the wolves.
I would just like to ask my Senators one thing. If this "pittance" is so damn "modest" why aren't you and your disgusting ilk you so effectively represent instead of the people of Kentucky paying it? Unfortunately for all of us it is because just like the Communists in China you so effectively enrich you are godless, soulless and completely selfish to the point of being simply the worst America has to offer.
