This will be a short diary, as it is a work night.
Channel 5 in Phoenix, sent a reporter to a nicey nicey restaurant in Phoenix where an ALEC membership dinner was being hosted for republican legislators. At least 17 Republican legislators showed up to a private back room "membership" dinner with an open bar and a menu with $70 steaks.
Lawmakers and lobbyists enjoyed some extra perks including Don Shooter from Yuma wandering around with an "as promised" bottle of bourbon.
In addition to Sen. Biggs and Rep. Lesko, lawmakers spotted at the dinner included: Reps. Michelle Ugenti, Eddie Farnsworth, John Kavanagh, Carl Seel, Brenda Barton, Bob Thorpe, David Livingston, J.D. Mesnard, Justin Olson, T.J. Shope, Adam Kwasman, Jeff Dial; and Senators Nancy Barto, Chester Crandell and Don Shooter.
This is how the legislative process happens folks, in a state where the legislature is controlled by ALEC Republicans.
