As Arkansas politics turns its attention to the Hope Watermelon Festival, this week was dominated by news that Arkansas had reduced its number of uninsured residents by 10.1%.
This week, Gallup released a poll showing that Arkansas led the nation in reducing the number of uninsured, reducing the number of uninsured people by 45%. Arkansas’s bipartisan Private Option is a major reason for the success.
When Congressman Cotton was asked for comment on the poll, both times the Congressman ducked by saying he wasn’t familiar with it.
The Gallup poll was widely covered in Arkansas. Our question for Congressman Cotton: Why do you want to end the Private Option?
