Why isn't Puerto Rico a state yet? Shouldn't we try to advocate for their enfranchisement? Every single person there is a US citizen except they can't vote unless they move to the mainland. This should end.
Every year I hear about a Puerto Rico becoming a state and every year it just fizzles out. What is the hold up? Who is addressing this and where? It just seems like such a no brainer!
3 million US citizens who don't have a say in their own country. We need to have this changed ASAP. Their enfranchisement should be a priority in todays political discourse.
