An Iowa news show has called Joni Ernst out for snubbing them—and
a bunch of newspapers—while making time for Fox News. KWWL reports:
Earlier today, congressman Braley sat down with us for a taping of this weekend's Steele Report, that airs Sunday morning and also on KWWL.com.
Want to point out, we did ask Sen. Joni Ernst to sit down with us in our studios as well. They've talked about that, but so far her campaign has not been able to make that happen in our Waterloo studios. Nikki Newbrough joins us right now. Nikki, I don't want to sound like a whiner, but our interview request isn't the first that Sen. Ernst has not been able to make recently.
Newbrough: She declined to sit down with multiple Iowa newspapers, but just today she did do an interview with Fox News. She admits meeting with newspaper editorial boards would hurt her campaign. She claims some have already made up their minds.
Yet here's Ernst turning down the chance to let Iowa voters see both what she has to say about the issues and the questions she's asked, to judge if they're fair. It's almost like she's not ducking the endorsement decisions of newpapers so much as she's ducking the kind of questions that local Iowa newspapers and television stations might have for her.
With good reason, but it's not exactly good form to all but admit you're
not looking to represent or even talk to people who disagree with you.

I'm sorry, I can't make phone calls, but I will chip in $3 to Daily Kos to help fuel Get Out The Vote efforts.
