If Governor Pat Quinn (D) Illinois can LOSE, you read me, HE LOST the Governorship to a teabagging billionaire who had more nasty SHIT on him than many previous Republican candidates, then you KNOW the public is mad.
People are mad.
And they have every right to be.
Instead of Democrats coming up with a solid, cohesive message, they turned and pointed fingers at Barack Obama and ran. Shameful and weak, but that is what they did.
Now, Barack Obama has to take part of this blame, as well.
The Obama White House is the most INEFFECTIVE MESSAGING WHITE HOUSE EVER. I mean ever. This White House has sat for YEARS and let the Republicans lie, create lying events, blither in the winds with lies and NO RESPONSE. And when they DO respond, it is always reactive, hardly PRO-ACTIVE. Yes, we have been complaining about this for YEARS.
Listen, the voting public is dumb. Most do not understand the issues. But what they do understand is shit not getting done, things not getting better for them. These voters will listen to any lying blowhard, if YOU AS A PARTY HAVE NOTHING TO SAY. And if you continue to BELIEVE the public can decipher between the two, then you just got served a blithering defeat tonight.
I was never a rah-rah Clinton fan, but one thing is for damn sure, THEY NEVER SAT AND LET THE REPUBLICANS DEFINE THEM. THEY KNOW HOW TO FIGHT. IT NEVER TOOK THEM 2 YEARS TO POINT TO THE REPUBLICANS AND CALL THEM OUT BY NAME. What we need are some fighters for 2016. No more of this. Not this mish-mash we have had. I have had it and today, so has the PUBLIC. That is why the OTHER side won. Not with ideals, but LIES and no one to confront them.
Lastly, this party must do better for mid-term elections. This cycle, no one was excited to vote. Everyone hates D.C. from the President on down. And Barack Obama's coattails are non-existent. Not speculation, a fact. (Even though he was not on the ballot, the GOP ran against HIM and won) Part of this election was a referendum on him, while the Democrats ran away. (Remember 2006 and George W. Bush's loss, well it did not take 10 years for the GOP to get just about everything back).
P.S. > Howard Dean is needed badly. That D.C. crowd pushed him to the curb but forgot he was the one who gave them victory in 2006 and laid the groundwork for a 50 state strategy. The GOP had a 50 state strategy called lies, lots of innuendos and plenty of money.
