Baltimore police arresting Freddie Gray.
The Baltimore Police have issued a bulletin they want to share nationwide with other police departments. They claim to evidence that gangs are working together to "take out" police officers. From their memo:
CREDIBLE THREAT TO LAW ENFORCEMENT
Baltimore, Md., April 27, 2015 – The Baltimore Police Department / Criminal Intelligence Unit has received credible information that members of various gangs including the Black Guerilla Family, Bloods, and Crips have entered into a partnership to “take-out” law enforcement officers.
This is a credible threat. Law enforcement agencies should take appropriate precautions to ensure the safety of their officers. Notification will be sent via NLETS. Further information will be sent through appropriate channels.
Media is requested to distribute this information to the public and law enforcement nationwide.
The warning comes as mourners gather to remember Fredde Gray, who suffered a life-ending injury at the hands of Baltimore police. More on the "credible threats":
Police spokesman Capt. Eric Kowalczyk would not say whether the threat is related to the death of Gray. Kowalczyk said the threat announcement has been circulated to law enforcement agencies nationwide.
Earlier this year, Baltimore police said the Black Guerilla Family sent a man into the Northeastern District station house with marijuana, cocaine and a loaded gun to test the station's security.
