I must say that I agree with Donald Trump

This just seems like an accurate assessment to me:

BLITZER: Do you identify more as a Democrat or Republican?
TRUMP: Well, you'd be shocked if I said that in many cases I probably identify more as Democrat. And I think you'd probably be shocked...

BLITZER: On social issues?

TRUMP: You know, it's interesting, I've been now around long -- you know, I think of myself as a young guy, but I'm not so young anymore. And I've been around for a long time. And it just seems that the economy does better under the Democrats than the Republicans.

Now, it shouldn't be that way. But if you go back, I mean it just seems that the economy does better under the Democrats...

Well yes, Donald, the economy actually does to better under Democrats. Did you ever bother to go back and understand why? I'm doubtful, since that would have taken time from your obsession over President Obama's birth certificate.

I remember seeing this live back then and wishing that I had the recorder going. I recorded a lot of stuff back in those days, thinking that it would one day be interesting to revisit the insanity that overtook our nation, but I missed this one.

I've spent the past couple of hours Googling for video, but have come up empty. This interview predates the existence of YouTube by about a year. If anyone has it, please post. It would be fun to make it go viral.

In the meantime, remember what Donald Trump thought before his political aspirations. If you want what is best for the economy, vote for Democrats.
