Bernie Sanders Supports Obama on Afghanistan

Since nobody else seems to have written a diary on this, I figured I'd better do so:

During an interview on ABC's "This Week" on Sunday morning, host George Stephanopoulos asked Sanders, a Democratic presidential candidate, whether he backs keeping U.S. troops in the country.
"Well, yeah, I won't give you the exact number. Clearly, we do not want to see the Taliban gain more power, and I think we need a certain nucleus of American troops present in Afghanistan to try to provide the training and support the Afghan army needs," he said.

So, just as does Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders backs the president's policy on Afghanistan.

In case you (like me) missed the word on this when it came out.

10:09 PM PT: Remember how many people were so quick the day before to attack Hillary as a warmonger for doing what Bernie did a day later? Funny how they didn't show their faces here.
