4:40 PM PT: As many of you now know, another campus shooting took place in Arizona. One person was killed, three injured. They have the shooter in custody. Apparently the shooting happened after an argument at a frat house at Northern Arzona University's Flagstaff campus.
Writing the above update makes me feel like I'm completing a fill-in-the-blank form that many news outlets have discussed in reference to all of the shootings. How awful. I think it demonstrates a level of desensitization that is occurring here.
A second campus shooting happened today in Texas. This makes three campus shootings in a week. This shooting happened at Texas Southern University. Like the Arizona campus shooting that happened earlier today, one person was killed and they believe they have they have the 18 year old shooter in custody. This shooting took place at a dorm and campus was put on lockdown.
So I'm asking again, what will it take for Congress to pass meaningful gun restrictions laws? I certainly hope they do not take the attitude of Jeb Bush who said after last week's campus shooting in Oregon, "Stuff happens."
