The MSF internal review describes patients burning in their beds, medical staff that were decapitated and lost limbs, and others who were shot from the air while they fled the burning building.
At least 30 people were killed, including 13 staff members, 10 patients and seven unrecognisable bodies yet to be identified.
“The view from inside the hospital is that this attack was conducted with a purpose to kill and destroy,” said Christopher Stokes, MSF general director.
“But we don’t know why. We don’t have the view from the cockpit, nor what happened within the US and Afghan military chains of command

Oct 24 A preliminary NATO report into a U.S. air strike on a hospital in the northern Afghan city of Kunduz on Oct. 3, originally expected to be released within a few days, has been delayed while investigations continue, officials said.
Time passes from a few days to; “you’ll just have to wait until, sometime”.
It must be fairly easy to find the duty roster, who was in the chain of command and what communications were made at the time. I would imagine this was all logged. What is the delay, making sure all the attacking parties have their asses well and truly covered? Whitewashing?
Reporting pretty much ceased a week ago, other hospitals in Yemen and Syria have been bombed since Kunduz, I suppose we are supposed to look forward until the next one is bombed and then ignore that as well.
As for the fog of war, that seems to be thicker when our side is doing “stuff”. When you can ignore torture, well then, anything is possible. When you bin ‘Habeas corpus’ when convenient, then the rule of law has little meaning. When you basically kidnap and send people off to receive ‘proper’ torture by our acquaintances, then you start to question who are the bad guys in this. Then we turn around and say that we are the worlds policemen, funny, when you look at what or own police get up to it all begins to make sense.
