Bill O'Reilly: Simpletons responsible for liberals catching up to conservatives

Gallup recently released a poll showing that for the first time since they began examining American's views on social issues in 1999, liberals have pulled even with conservatives.

Gallup first asked Americans to describe their views on social issues in 1999, and has repeated the question at least annually since 2001. The broad trend has been toward a shrinking conservative advantage, although that was temporarily interrupted during the first two years of Barack Obama's presidency. Since then, the conservative advantage continued to diminish until it was wiped out this year.
The newfound parity on social ideology is a result of changes in the way both Democrats and Republicans describe their social views. The May 6-10 Gallup poll finds a new high of 53% of Democrats, including Democratic-leaning independents, describing their views on social issues as liberal.

"How can that be" asked an incredulous Bill O'Reilly to his equally perplexed audience. His calcified brain unable to fully compute this changing landscape, Bill decided that simpletons too stupid to walk erect were to blame. That, and the fact that "the net has taken people away from the real world and put them in a fantasy world," unlike, say, Fox News.

I believe only about 50 percent of the American people take the time to understand important issues. Half the country does not. They are simpletons, unwilling and unable to discipline themselves into formulating a philosophy of life.
The second factor driving the trend to the left in the USA is the media, but not the news media. Most Americans don't even bother with the news anymore. It's the entertainment industry combined with social media putting forth a more libertine lifestyle. There's no question about that. In cyberspace, progressive websites vastly outnumber traditional websites. That's because traditional people don't use the net as much as much as their progressive counterparts. So the stars are lined up in favor of liberal thought, and that is a powerful influence.

Now let's take a look at the social issues themselves. In 2001 just 40 percent of the American public believe gay or lesbian relations were morally acceptable. Now that number stands at 63 percent--huge change. That's because the entertainment industry has mainstreamed the gay lifestyle. Modern Family, for example, one of the most successful programs in the world and even though it's a comedy, the message of tolerance sinks in especially among younger Americans. Then you had a heavy dose of the stars themselves being liberal on gay issues and you have the change agent.

Also on the gay marriage issue, those opposed to it have not been able to vividly articulate their vision and some, who support gay marriage, have branded the opposition as bigots--a powerful, but unfair indictment.

Going forward, talking points believes America is in for a big shock. I don't know how that shock is going to be delivered. But I do know we are heading in the wrong direction on just about every important issue and the polls back me up. Two thirds of Americans say the country is headed in the wrong direction. Whether it's another brutal terror attack here or an economic collapse of some kind, I cannot tell you.

What I can say with certainty is that the public school system is on the verge of collapse. Chaos in the minority precincts as bad as it's ever been. And the drive to legalize marijuana and other drugs will sap initiative and create millions of addicts. Also, our foreign policy is in absolute shambles as we said last night.

With all that in play, Americans are still evenly divided ideologically. But when the bill comes due, and something awful happens, this country will quickly snap back to traditional thinking. And that's “The Memo”.

So you see, social conservatives constantly comparing gays to pedophiles and Nazis isn't a catalyst for turning off decent people. It's a hit comedy on ABC that is their undoing. I'm not sure where Bill found the data that proves social media is responsible for the rise of libertine lifestyles since Gallup is polling liberal gains here, but what's in a name. Social media and sitcoms promoting tolerance against other human beings? Why it's anarchy in a swirling toilet bowl.

On an uplifting note, Bill O'Reilly does leave his audience with a message of hope. Even though many of these people can't tell the difference between a computer and a microwave oven and they are dying off in droves, their ideology will prevail. All it will take is a brutal terrorist attack or our "too big to fail" banks actually failing to snap these simpletons out of their newly found tolerance and return them to their inner right-wing bigot. The kids will be okay.
