Dennis Hastert is, of course, a Republican. And not just any Republican, but a former long-term Republican congressman and former Republican Speaker of the House; in fact, he was the longest-serving Republican Speaker of the House in history.
None of those media organizations noticed the error and corrected it, and still haven't, or else they chose to run it as is, knowing it was wrong and wanting to keep it that way.
That's how they catapult the propaganda, folks.
