In the last election, in state after state, you had an abysmally low vote for the Democrats among white, working-class people. And I think the reason for that is that the Democrats have not made it clear that they are prepared to stand with the working-class people of this country, take on the big money interests. I think the key issue that we have to focus on, and I know people are uncomfortable about talking about it, is the role of the billionaire class in American society.
Its pretty simple. Just go do what Sanders said he wanted to do.
Instead of trying to win black voters, just go win enough white working class voters!
Use that anti-establishment message of taking on Wall Street and Corporations. Opposing TPP and taxing the rich. Not accepting their dirty, filthy lucre. Use words like neoliberal, corporatist, oligarchy and so on.
Do that and you don't need black voters to win. Easy peasy.
Trump, of course, will be competing with a very different message but that shouldn't be too difficult to overcome. After all, Trump is of the billionaire class. You couldn't ask for a better opponent.
I await the results. Best of luck!
