Henry Kissinger was honored by the Obama Administration.
He was given an award for “Distinguished Public Service” by the Department of Defense.
I was very small while Kissinger was wreaking havoc all over the universe in the name of our great country. But I sure as hell heard a lot about him as I grew up from my older relatives. And we all now are poised for the potential to deal with his spectre if Hillary Clinton becomes president. All evidence points to the fact that she has an extremely close personal and professional tie to Kissinger, and others have suggested that her foreign policy vision is in lockstep with his and those of similar war hawks (e.g., Dick Cheney).
To me this seems like egregious revisionist history. Or pure doublespeak. Or both. I don’t have the words to describe my disgust and dismay. Here is the coverage from The Nation:

So, I don’t know, folks. Even a quick glance at my profile reveals that I’m a Berniecrat so many of you will just accuse me of random Hill-bashing. But please, if you can avoid that knee jerk response, go ahead and tell me why I shouldn’t be concerned about this.
