Dr. Oz pledges to avoid the tough questions about Donald Trump's health

America’s reality television presidential nominee has an appointment with America’s favorite reality television doctor. Donald Trump is having Dr. Mehmet Oz look at his medical records and interview him about his health. Don’t expect Dr. Oz to be a real tough interviewer, though:

Mehmet Oz on Tuesday promised to ask Donald Trump “pointed questions” about his health when he sits down with him this week, but in the same interview Oz pledged that he will not ask Trump “questions he doesn’t want to have answered.”

Okay, then. That sounds hard-hitting. We will surely find out the real deal about Donald Trump’s health. Also, Dr. Oz explained, if there are embarrassing things in Trump’s medical records, “I bet you he won’t release them.” But, Fox News’ Brian Kilmeade assured viewers, “it will be a surprise to Donald Trump what Doctor Oz is going to say.” Yes, a total surprise—except for where Trump gets to leave out anything embarrassing and Dr. Oz won’t ask any questions he doesn’t want to have answered. It doesn’t get any more transparent than that!

I know what I hope Dr. Oz, who is a real actual doctor despite his habit of pushing pseudoscience on his show, asks about. The man is obsessed with poop. Please, please have him ask Trump what his stool is telling him. Just don’t make me watch the answer.
