What in the hell is going on in Virginia these days? The great Jen Hayden has a DIARY out chronicling an armed Trump supporter in Virginia, standing around in front of a Democratic campaign office for 12 hours, openly displaying his weapon and trying to intimidate the staff inside.
Guess who’s office he was standing in front of for 12 hours? A Jane Dittmar campaign office, that’s who. There doesn’t seem to be any connection between the man and the Dittmar campaign, he may have been attracted by the “Clinton-Kaine 16” sign in the window. His action was apparently legal, since he did not brandish the weapon, simply displayed it tucked into his waistband. Welcome to the “Party of Lincoln” these days folks.
I can’t help wondering how this guy can possibly be as stupid as his idol. Trump has been getting skewered for spending 30 years abusing and intimidating women, so what does this clown do to try to improve Trump’s Image? He stands around in front of a Dittmar campaign office for 12 hours, trying to intimidate a bunch of women with a firearm. Great thinking Einstein.
Somehow or other I don’t think Jane Dittmar is all that intimidated. As a certified mediator for both General courts and circuit courts, I would think she’s seen unsavory people before.And as a co-ordinator for the Juvenile and Domestic Relations courts, she can probably spot an abuser.
This seat in VA-05 is an open seat, the Republican incumbent is not running for another term, and we need to flip it. Her Republican opponent, Tom Garrett is currently collecting a paycheck for lazing around in the state Senate, trying to slash benefits, curtail rights and all that other fun GOP stuff. Jane Dittmar is a solution, not just more of the problem, we need her in the House.
I recently wrote a more traditional candidate DIARY about Jane that has her positions, I won’t duplicate that here. But if Jane Dittmar is strong enough to stand up to GOP bullying, we need to be strong enough to stand up for her! Virginia continues to trend solidly Blue this year, Trump has now pulled out of the state. The Trump forces in the state are in a state of dysfunction, and the legislators who support him are all looking for poles with which to walk the Trump tightrope. We need to capitalize on this, and getting Jane elected is one way we can help.
