My title above quotes Charles Blow this morning.

I will NOT “Come Together” for a man so wholly unqualified as Fuckface Von Clownstick, a man who assaults my friends, my loved ones and the very social fabric upon which our democracy is bound.

I will NOT respect a man who so thoroughly disrespected President Obama with his racist conspiracy theories.

I will NOT respect someone who campaigned on open racism and bigotry and won because our idiotic system allows the person with the most votes at the end of the day to lose sometimes.

I will NOT “hope he fails” as Limbaugh said of Obama when he was elected because I know when an American President fails so does America, but I understand that Von Clownstick is not like George W Bush or John McCain or Mitt Romney who were all far better men than he is. I will not hope he fails because I am certain he shall, and I will NOT normalize this man no matter what anyone tells me.

When I was a younger man and George W Bush won control of every level of Government I said as a liberal I hope he succeeds, I hope he is right on his policies, because for our sake as a nation he better be. I make no such concessions for Fuckface Von Clownstick. His entire campaign was based on inflicting pain. I can not hope that succeeds. Fuckface Von Clownstick has no redeeming qualities. Trump is going to make George W Bush look like a fucking rocket scientist.

Guess what, Democrats. The issue of decency, of basic human dignity, that is entirely ours now, and we should own it, because whatever the fuck we call “Republicans” today have totally abandoned it.

But I, for one, will NOT “Work With” Team Clownstick and their mewling, psycophantic cronies on issues we can agree on. You wanna do that, you do you, but not me, because the pain Team Clownstick is going to inflict on my country and my countrymen shall be so great all I can see right now is triage for the next 4 years and building a resistance, a resistance that votes EVERY FUCKING ELECTION like our lives depend on it. Our job now is building a resistance, a loyal opposition that holds true to the basic decency that is the best thing about America.

Count me among the resistance
