UPDATE: Woman suing Donald Trump for child rape cancels press conference in fear after death threats

Lisa Bloom of the BloomFirm has just announced a press conference where the woman who sued Republican nominee Donald Trump for child rape will appear for the first time to tell her story. For some background, I covered the court order earlier this month:

A lawsuit was filed last June by a “Jane Doe” alleging that at the age of 13 she was repeatedly raped and her life was threatened by Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump. The crimes reportedly took place in 1994 during penthouse parties thrown by Florida financier and billionaire Jeffrey Epstein (who was convicted and jailed for underage sex crimes in 2008). On October 12, 2016, a federal judge issued a court order for counsel representing Trump and Epstein to appear in court along with the alleged victim’s attorney .

Trump, of course, denies all allegations calling the lawsuit a conspiracy that’s meant to smear his name and derail his chances of becoming the next president of the United States. Trump has also been accused of multiple sexual assaults in recent weeks and has been heard on audio bragging about grabbing/assaulting women—an audio first released by The Washington Post.

The lawsuit by Jane Doe is on public record and is extremely disturbing to read and may cause strong emotional triggers for rape/sexual assault victims. A former employee of Jeffrey Epstein known as “Tiffany Doe,” who was paid to bring young girls to Epstein’s parties, has also come forth claiming and describing violent, illegal and illicit acts against and upon Jane Doe, by Trump and Epstein.

This is the story might not only bring down Trump down, it will allow other victims to come forward as well as bring attention to the tragic and growing epidemic of sex trafficking in this country and around the world.

UPDATE — November 2, 2016, 6:10 PM

The press conference has been cancelled due to death threats made against the alleged victim. Huffington Post reports live:

”Donald J. Trump has been accused of forcibly raping a 13-year-old girl in 1994, and is due in court after the election. Today, his accuser intended to break her silence, but chose not to after receiving numerous death threat.”

Lisa Bloom tells the press:

I have to make a very brief statement and an apology. I have bad news for you. Jane

Doe has received numerous threats today as have all the Trump accusers that I’ve represented. She’s living in fear and sh’s too afraid to show here face. She’s been here all day, ready to do it but unfortunately she’s in terrible fear, so I’m going to have to reschedule. I apologize to all of you. She’s living in fear. She’s decided that she’s too afraid. I apologize to all of you who came for this meeting. I have nothing more.
