Ted Nugent: Crotch-grabbing, misogynist and racist, or activist? Politico makes the call

For those unfamiliar with Ted Nugent, he’s a has-been musician from the 1970’s whose more recent claim to fame is spewing vile racist, sexist, homophobic and xenophobic insults. He called President Obama a “subhuman mongrel,” and invited Obama to “suck on my machine gun.” He called Hillary Clinton a “toxic cunt.” He wondered if it were possible to “offend guys that actually have anal sex.” When talking about undocumented immigrants, he said he wanted to “shoot them dead.” After Trayvon Martin was killed for the crime of walking while black, Nugent said Martin showed “the same mindless tendency to violence we see in black communities across America.”

In other words, Nugent is the perfect surrogate for Donald Trump. And naturally, while appearing with Trump on Sunday night, Nugent was a vile pig:

… Ted Nugent grabbed his own crotch while speaking on behalf of Trump.

"I got your blue state right here, baby," Nugent said Sunday, while grabbing himself at the event in Sterling Heights, Michigan. "Black and blue."

And yet here’s the entirety of Politico’s description Nugent:

Nugent, 67, was dubbed the "Motor City Madman" during his loin-cloth-wearing, guitar-wielding heyday in the 1970s. In recent decades, he has been better known for his activism on behalf of conservative causes, particularly Second Amendment rights.

Yeah, sure. That’s what Nugent is better known for. His activism.
