Chris Cuomo had Anthony Scaramucci on this morning to discuss how full of shit Donald Trump is. Scaramucci is a part of Donald Trump’s transition team. As with anybody on Trump’s transition team who appears in interviews, Scaramucci’s job is to lie through his teeth and say “make America great again” over and over until your mind is sufficiently mushy and exhausted. The first question Cuomo asked was:
So why do you want the names of those who worked on global warming at the Department of Energy, is this a purge?
If Joe Pesci were 20 years younger, Oliver Stone would cast him to play Scaramucci in some upcoming film. Pesci would be able to capture the playful sociopathy that Scaramucci exudes.
Scaramucci: No, I don’t think so at all, I think this is intellectual curiosity.
I think Scaramucci has confused the concepts of intellectual curiosity with nihilistic greed. He goes on about energy independence and making money on gas and oil but also says Trump has said the words “clean air and clean water.” He seriously just says that Trump has said those things over and over again so that should be enough to know … something. To Cuomo’s credit he says, in essence, that Scaramucci is full of shit and asks again, “Why do you need to know who worked on global warming?”
Scaramucci: I know that the current President believes that humans are affecting the climate, there are scientists that believe that that’s not happening—
Cuomo:--the overwhelming consensus in the scientific community is that man’s actions have an affect on—
Scaramucci:--Chris Chris let me finish. There was an overhwleming consensus that the world was flat…
Cuomo: It’s called ignorance.
Scaramucci, when the history books are written decades from now, will go down in the small section of gross stories about the darkness of the human condition. Like Donald Trump’s entire transition team, he represents what is worst about humanity, fear and avarice.
