Donald Trump has been busy getting rid of the “swamp” in Washington by replacing it with a larger, more bigly, tremendous swamp—a better swamp than you’ve ever seen, he’s seen swamps but this swamp is the best. As a result of the Trump Tower-sized middle finger he’s pressed to the face of every working schlub who voted for him, Trump’s surrogates have had to go to the airwaves to shovel some more bullshit to those they’ve already conned into voting for Trump. Wall Street executive Anthony Scaramucci, best known for whining and whining about how bad Wall Street is treated, was on CNN’s Berman and Boldaun show to peddle his doublespeak. John Berman and Kate Bolduan are nothing if not younger and tighter-skinned versions of the hollow nothingness we expect from CNN’s on-air personalities. Asking Scaramucci about the “possibility” that Trump’s neverending hirings of Goldman Sachs executives into important government positions might “look” like everything he told working whites about Goldman Sachs being the boogeymen was a lie, Scaramucci had this amazing thing to say.
Well, listen, I think the cabal against the bankers is over. What Mr. Trump is really trying to do right now is to put the country together. We had a rough campaign, but he said most graciously in his speech and you can see it in his actions in terms of his outreach to so many different people, we really want to bring the country together, not just the party, not just the people that voted for Mr. Trump but the entire country.
Pretty amazing. The next part is Scaramucci saying he worked at Goldman Sachs a long time ago but people still have him branded with that dirty word, which he’s telling you isn’t a dirty word, and then Berman and Bolduan make gross jokes along with Scaramucci about that, which leads back to the new Trump transition team talking point.
Goldman Sachs was a phenomenal place when I was there. It is still a phenomenal place. It has a great team oriented culture. People that are successful in their orientation have gone to work at Goldman. That's why it's been so phenomenally successful. I really hope this whole banker cabal of hatred dies down in the next three or four years.
Just wow. Buckle up because we’ve got sharks and alligators in this swamp and they are ready to trickle down all over everybody.
You might want some dramamine.
