CNN, please stop polling primaries.

This diary examines the extent to which CNN commissions inaccurate polls.

In 2008, Obama won Iowa by 8% and Hillary took New Hampshire by 3%.. CNN picked the loser in both contests (Hillary in Iowa by 2% and Obama in New Hampshire by 9%).

In 2016, their final Iowa polls had Sanders by 8% and Trump by 11%, thus sucking again.

In 2012 CNN picked Romney over Santorum, although the margin wasn't that bad.

If you are a gambler, picking whoever CNN thinks will lose is guaranteed to make you rich.

Gallup deserves credit for ceasing to poll elections as soon as it was evident that they didn't know what they were doing. CNN should follow suit and give up primary polling now before they embarrass themselves further.
