When you say your going to run a POSITIVE CAMPAIGN you don't LIE & CONSTANTLY ATTACK YOUR OPPONENT
I really had hoped when Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton started their campaigns they would stay civil as they did in the first few debates, basically pointing out differences in policy. I knew there would always be Bernie’s regular jabs back about the Vote on the Iraq War and Wall Street and Hillary would come back with a jab on Sander’s Vote on Guns/The Brady Bill and The Amber Alert. These were to be expected. And Bernie was actually very forgiving when he said “Enough about your damn e-mails”.
As the States began the voting process, I was so thrilled to go and cast my vote early in TX. A state that would give Hillary 2/3 rd’s of it’s delegates.
Needless to say, Hillary had a great start and began adding up a large pledged delegate lead early in the race. A lead that would surpass any pledged delegate lead Obama ever had over Hillary.
As the Campaigns moved forward after Super Tuesday The Sanders Campaign began it’s attack of Lies, Innuendo and False Statements on “The Rigged System”.
Today there was an excellent article written by Sandra Fried called “Whatever Sanders Says, There Can’t Be a Contested Democratic National Convention”. It explains that Sanders has probably never been to a DNC but that the way the DNC works is a vote is taken and the pledged and unpledged (Super Delegates) vote in the first round which like 2008 will determine the Candidate for the Democratic Party. pollways.bangordailynews.com/…
Then there’s the accusation by Sanders now regarding Hillary’s campaign money laundering. This just is not so. First of all Sanders wrote the letter to the DNC not to the FEC. I’m not sure that Sanders has all of his own issues with the FEC cleared up yet. An Excellent Article written by Rick Hasen in his Election Law Blog explains what a JFC (Joint Fundraising Committee) is and how the distribution of the money works. He also explains the laws in place with JFC’s.electionlawblog.org/…
Also another excellent article was published on April 30th in the Burlington Free Press titled “Superdelegates Play by The Rules” written by Vaughn A Carney. It basically gives 4 points on how Superdelegates work. #1. The RNC and DNC are Private Organizations with their own rules. #2. Bernie Sanders is not a member of the DNC so not entitled to all the Rights and Privileges. #3. Bernie Sanders knew about the rules going into the Campaign and agreed to abide by the rules. #4. Hillary has 2.5 million votes more than Bernie Sanders and has also raised money to help elect down ticket Democrats helping in party governance. www.burlingtonfreepress.com/…
Also, In today’s edition of The New York Daily News, State Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron rejected a plea by a Manhattan attorney to rule that the state's “closed primary” system violates the state constitution. The judge noted that the U.S. Supreme Court and the state Court of Appeals have both upheld the state's closed primaries in several prior decisions.www.nydailynews.com/…
Another issue is some of the terms used by the Sanders Campaign personally attacking Hillary Clinton. A few weeks back we dealt with the whole “Hillary is not Qualified to be President “ attack. The next day Sanders walked it back realizing he was not going off fact but a newspaper headline. But what has finally pushed me too far is when Sanders Campaign, especially Jane, has started attacking Hillary with the phrase “ The Anointed One”. Hillary Clinton has done nothing but work for the underdog her whole life-Children, Women’s Rights Worldwide,Healthcare,LGBT Rights and Human Rights. She has earned every Political Scar she bares. When Jane Sanders went on Fox News and called her the anointed one and then said “It would be nice if the FBI Sped up Clinton’s E-Mail Investigation”. I’ve attached the clip that’s on YouTube youtu.be/... via @YouTube
I guess one of the most recent interviews is one that must have really sent Sanders over the Edge! It was on Sandra Bernhard’s “Sandyland” on Sirius XM Radio on April 29th. It was with Rachel Maddow from MSNBC. I’ll attach the link to the article which has 2 soundbites you can listen to. The first one talks about how Rachel has waited 8 years to get the interview she had with Hillary on her show. The second soundbite is about Hillary already being Presidential. “The one thing I will say that’s totally different about her than other candidates I have interviewed is that she’s more like a president than any other candidate,” she said. “When you talk to her, it is like you are interviewing somebody who is already president. She talks the way that [Bill] Clinton did when he was president. She talks the way that Obama does now that he’s president. There’s something about her experience that makes her basically behave in a presidential manner.” Be sure to listen to the other soundbite where Rachel talks about the “Intensity of the Interview”. blog.siriusxm.com/…
I know Beyonce recently came out with a new song called “Lemonade”. Of course we all know the old saying “When Life Hands You Lemons Make Lemonade”. But when you lose your dignity with lies and false attacks and innuendos you become nothing but a bowl of Sour Grapes. The only thing I can think of to do with sour grapes is hang them out in the sun and watch them as they dry up and turn into Wrinkled Raisins.
