The mayor of San Juan, Carmen Yulín, withdrew her endorsement today saying Hillary is too lukewarm, not very clear with some important issues facing Puerto Rico.
She had endorsed Clinton in October, endorsement that was published on the Island by newspaper El Nuevo Día
Also the LGBTT leader Pedro Julio Serrano will not be endorsing Clinton anymore because she has not opposed the undemocratic Fiscal Control Board proposal among other issues.
Sanders position on Puerto Rico’s status and other matters has been well received in Puerto Rico. He is the only candidate that has openly said that Puerto Rico is in a colonial relationship with the US. He visited the Island earlier this week and opened today his campaign office near the Rio Piedras campus of the Universidad de Puerto Rico.
