There were so many must-see speeches on the final night of this week's awesome Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, but among them was this incredible stemwinder from retired four-star Marine Gen. John Allen. Flanked by a phalanx of admirals, fellow generals, and Iraq and Afghanistan veterans, Allen delivered a fiery patriotic address that laid out exactly why Hillary Clinton understands the threats facing our country—and repeatedly inspired the crowd to burst out with booming chants of “U-S-A! U-S-A!” Watch it below and you’ll feel exactly the same way:

Allen served a tremendous rebuke to age-old calumnies about the patriotism of Democrats and showed the nation just how much we love our country. And his speech didn’t just excite Democrats—it blew away Republicans, too. Check out the reaction of GOP uber-hack Frank Luntz:
