For me the choice is easy, I'm a homer all the way.
It’s that time of year again. It’s the time for everybody to get their hopes up that their favorite school has a chance to be National Champion in NCAA Men’s Basketball. But the truth is;
There Can Be Only One!
Everybody else will go home disappointed. Some of us will be teased out for several more weeks. The first culling happens on Sunday when the at large teams will be selected. You’ll hear some moaning coming from “bubble” teams who think they were robbed because Team X made it and they didn’t. By Friday night only 32 teams will be left and by Sunday night that number will be reduced even further to only 16.
As usual there will be at least one surprise team among the Sweet 16. How far will they go?
Which conference will have the strongest showing? Again, I’m a homer, ACC all the way! There’s talk that the ACC could have as many as 10 teams in the tournament. That wouldn’t hurt my feelings a bit if that happened. It’ll generate a lot of complaining from other teams and conferences who don’t get in or aren’t seeded as high as they think their team should be.
