Back in the day, when President Obama was new to the White House and trying to staff his administration, then-Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell had strong feelings about standards for confirmation. Now, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is all about speed, never mind the standards, and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer is, uh, politely reminding him of his earlier position:
Okay, actually Schumer is showing how you can both be eminently reasonable and an expert troll at the same time, and it’s beautiful. I hope he has an entire team of researchers sifting through McConnell’s past words, looking for more things to fire back.
