I mean, c’mon.
There are so many kickass, hard working, articulate and brilliant women working to make our lives better out there.
Dude called PP “the establishment” just last year.
He said HRC was “unqualified” to be president and ran a campaign that basically characterized her as an “unqualified” corporate whore for months and months. There wasn’t enough difference in their policy ideas so he had to shit on her personally. It didn’t work as he lost, but the effects were felt.
Where I live in Wisco he won overwhelmingly in the primaries. I couldn’t look at FB last year without a local “progressive” calling her a neoliberal bitch...so many refused to vote for her. But we’re supposed to listen to his precious thoughts on Women’s Issues? We’re supposed to be inspired to take on leadership roles by...Bernie?
I am in total agreement with all the enraged commenters on FB.
There are two times as many Dem men than Dem women in the House and Senate for a reason. It is b/c women don’t have the chance to run for office, they are too busy being the primary childcare parent, doing housework and supporting their families financially. Liberal men don’t often make space for women to succeed in politics. Right now we have a cultural moment and momentum for women in leadership. Disappointed in the organizers of this event as they clearly missed the mark.
