If you’ve been keeping up with the movement of mental health therapists who have joined together as Duty to Warn, you are familiar with the group’s founder Dr. John Gartner.
Gartner was interviewed twice on the Lawrence O’Donnell show.
Last night he had the chance to interview Donald Trump in the flesh, well, a fake Donald Trump on Comedy Central’s “The President Show.”
The video is a must see. I won’t review except to say that Gartner stayed true to character, in fact not even acting. He interviewed his patient the same way he or I would interview any other client despite him saying outrageous things.
I won’t go further because it has an amazing ending once the interview is over.
Watch it here:
If the video doesn’t play try it directly from Comedy Central
Some background ...
Here are some Kos stories I wrote, in case you’ve missed the recent news reports about the possibility of removing Trump under provisions of the 25th Amendment, and read assessments by numerous mental health professionals (including 27 of them in (review) “The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump”) my own contributions in Daily Kos: Trumpology: The Psychological Study of Donald Trump, and many many others early “findable” using a Google search of Trump and 25th Amendment.
The article below was published on Daly Kos a month after the inauguration. There were 25,000 signers on John Gartner’s petition then, there are over 65,000 currently.
