I’m calling it right now. Moore is going to win this election today. That being said I really do hope I am wrong.
Why do I believe this?
1. Look at the polls. They are all over the place. There is no clear winner as far as polls go. And we even have a particular news agency who’s polls indicate a landslide for Doug Jones which was quickly flagged as electioneering. Has anybody considered that the reason the polls are all over the place is simply obfucscation on what is really going on? If everybody is unsure of what the outcome possibly could be… then all outcomes are possible.
2. Election integrity. A judge at the last minute has overruled a lower court to strike down a requirement to preserve digital election records. Its not that the capability isnt there. It is. And if the capability is there, then there is no reason not to use it. Unless you want to minimize the number of records that can be reviewed and correlated. If you have the digital records those records can be reviewed and counted. That count could be compared against the scanned totals from the paper copies. If the numbers reconcile then all is good. But now there is only going to be a single scan with no way to independently verify the totals.
3. Republicans are publicly against Moore. How many republicans have made remarks against Moore? Quite a few now. And not even backhanded comments. Straight up saying how bad he will be for the party. How many have said bad things publicly about Ryan? Or about McConnell? They don’t publicly talk ill of other party members. They don’t because leadership will come down on them for it. But here we are and they are openly talking down about him. Could it be that they are talking down on him so as to be able to appear that they are holding the moral high ground?
4. Trump and voter fraud. Remember right after the election Trump claimed that his vote total was higher and that the only reason it was not was due to voter fraud against him. And over the last year how many times has Trump said something that on its face blamed someone else for a problem but in reality made it pretty clear that he was at fault or was the problem. Parapraxis is the term for it. His claims about voter fraud rang hollow at the time because… fucker won the election. But did he? Maybe the reason he was upset about his vote totals was because he knew the election was fraudulent and the numbers he was told were skewed because of such a high turnout and so many votes against him. There was voter fraud…. in his favor.
5. Election fraud. How many elections need to pass before we actually fix the dirty tricks? For a long time now our elections have been dirty street fights. And despite phone polls showing a vote one way. Despite exit polls that show a vote a particular way. Despite all of the momentum how many votes go the opposite way of all of the momentum. It doesnt work in physics and it sure looks funny in elections.
6. Voter machines. Bradblog has been talking about voting machines being hacked for going on a decade plus. And very little has changed in that time. The only change I have seen is that voting machines are out in the open now. Not inside an enclosed booth. If you try to tamper with the machine during the election you likely will be caught. But over and over again we have found machines that have the wrong software on them. And then when someone gets suspicious and gets a court order to inspect the machines… all of a sudden they are wiped clean and new software is installed.
7. Vote tabulators: How about the tabulators? Anybody auditing the software on the tabulators? Nope? Crickets? If it is the vote tabulators themselves that have been hacked then no amount of election monitors, or paper receipt auditing, or chains of custody, or camera surveillance will matter.
As this election is getting started I stand right now and call it for Roy Moore.
The fix is in.

“"I'm hearing that the turnout in certain areas that might benefit Doug Jones are complemented by heavy turnout in other areas, in some rural parts of the state that would probably complement Judge Moore. So I think that's going to balance itself out if that trend continues," Merrill told AL.com. ”
“Secretary of State @JohnHMerrill says it appears state is "right on target" for 25 percent voter turnout in today's special election between Doug Jones and Roy Moore. ”
Everything is going according to plan.
