A Pennsylvania woman who was charged last month with falsely accusing a Pennsylvania State Trooper of Rape was charged again with falsely accusing another Pennsylvania State Trooper of Rape.
37 year old Christine A. Cromer of a suburb of Wilkes-Barre, PA called Plains Township was charged with a misdemeanor count of unsworn falsification alleging she lied when she obtained a temporary restraining order against Pennsylvania State Police Sgt. Daniel Jones. Cromer wrote in her application that in November 2016, Sgt. Jones asked her to come to a car parked behind Mohegan Sun Pocono in Plains Township where Cromer worked as a cocktail waitress and forced himself on her and had sex with her. But, Sgt. Jones was never assigned to the casino as a Bureau of Gaming officer trooper, and Sgt. Jones was in Pennsylvania’s State Capitol of Harrisburg, PA, which is between 108 and 131 miles away from the casino on the day Cromer alleged the rape took place. And, the only time she ever met Sgt. Daniel Jones was when Sgt. Jones was interviewing her in May about a complaint she filed against Bureau of Gaming officer trooper Robert Covington. In that complaint, Cromer told investigators she got into a relationship Bureau of Gaming officer trooper Covington that started when the Bureau of Gaming officer trooper approached her because of her husband’s involvement with the outlaws motorcycle club, and Bureau of Gaming officer trooper Covington would take her on a cruise to protect her. But, while Cromer claimed Bureau of Gaming officer trooper Covington was pursuing her, Mohegan Sun Pocono casino employees reported Cromer was infatuated with Bureau of Gaming officer trooper Covington citizensvoice.com/…
Cromer denied having sex with Bureau of Gaming officer trooper Covington, but later said they did have consensual sex in a Pennsylvania state police car sometime in August of 2016 and described the car as having a front bench seat when in fact the car never had a front bench seat, and Cromer had no evidence to back up her story that she was raped. Suburban Philadelphia Judge Linda K.M. Ludgate dismissed Cromer’s request for a restraining order Cromer filed against Sgt. Jones with prejudice. She was charged with filing false reports charges against Bureau of Gaming officer trooper Covington, and was released on $30,000 bail. While Cromer is still free on bail from that case, Cromer was charged with filing false reports charges against Sgt. Jones. As of 15 December 2017, Cromer was not arraigned on the charges, and Cromer’s bail was not revoked citizensvoice.com/… If Cromer were a man or any minority person, Cromer’s bail would have been revoked.
Prior to her arrest, Cromer had persistently sought to publicize her lies across the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, PA area, posted flyers across the area with titles such as “No Justice for raped victim”. In an interview with the Citizens Voice of Wilkes-Barre, PA in September of 2017, Cromer claimed she filed a report with Pennsylvania State Police’s Internal Affairs, but Cromer alleges Internal Affairs took no action on her complaint.
