This morning after Mediaite had named Fox and Friends ” the “most influential” cable news program of 2017, meaning that the Idiot-in-Chief spends all morning watching it and turning their every brain fart into policy, drumpf warmed up his Twitter machine and gave them a hearty, albeit mistaken, congratulations…
...mistaken because what Mediate actually meant, according to Yahoo News was this:
“”As described by Mediaite in crowning the morning show No. 1, that “formula” works like this:
Trump regularly starts his day watching Fox & Friends and “then tweets about whatever they cover, and however, they cover it.” The rest of the media cover Trump’s tweets, and that makes Fox & Friends the nation’s assignment editor for the rest of the day.
” That is influence like few other media figures have ever enjoyed.”
Brokaw had this to say about that…..
“[Trump] watches [F&F] because it reinforces what he believes,” Brokaw said. “Fox News…is on a jihad right now” against institutions of the government. “Newt Gingrigh looking into the camera and saying the FBI is a corrupt organization – three months earlier he’d said Bob Mueller is one of the great, distinguished public servants we have.”
“So, we’re at war here,” Brokaw said.”
Brokaw is right, of course, and ThinkProgress has a piece up about the drumpf Army’s latest piece of agitprop (don’t watch on a full stomach).
“A pro-Trump nonprofit says it is spending $1 million to air a new pro-Trump ad that concludes with a little girl saying, “Thank you President Trump for letting us say ‘Merry Christmas’ again!”
The notion that saying “Merry Christmas” was in some sense prohibited under President Obama is, of course, a myth, as this supercut of the Obamas wishing people a Merry Christmas reveals. Nonetheless, Trump seems to have convinced himself that nobody said it during the Obama years — a period of time during which Trump rose to political prominence thanks to the racist conspiracy theory he pushed about Obama not actually being an American citizen.”
Obama loved Christmas.
You’d have to be an idiot to think such a thing right?
ThinkProgress is unduly optimistic about the progress of the war, I fear...
“So regardless of how many times Trump says “Merry Christmas,” it’s doubtful whether the president’s first major legislative accomplishment will boost his popularity heading into the second year of his presidency.”
I dunno guys, there were enough idiots to elect him.
