The separation of church and state is a principle that this republic has stood upon since its inception. Right now that principle is being eroded and it will be destroyed outright in the foreseeable future if the dominionists have their way and they are having their way. The people of whom I speak, the "faux Christians", those that say that they are Christians and are not, (paraphrasing Revelations 2:9) are in fact right wing religious fanatics hell bent on taking over America, and this is not paranoia, this is their plan. As we speak, Bible studies with cabinet members are going on in Washington D.C. with a pastor who makes no bones about his intentions “to make disciples of Christ in the Capitol,” so that they can take over. Take a look:
Fusion.net reported Thursday that Energy Secretary and former Texas Republican Gov. Rick Perry attends the weekly prayer and Bible study meetings which are held in the Department of Health and Human Services on Wednesday mornings.
First thing in the morning on April 5, before a meeting chaired by Representative John Shimkus and another with the Solar Energy Industry Association, Energy Secretary Rick Perry headed to the Department of Health and Human Services, according to a copy of Perry’s schedule obtained by Fusion. There, Perry was scheduled to meet for an hour-long “Cabinet Member Bible Study.” The schedule does not list who attended that session, but Ralph Drollinger, a right-wing pastor with a long history of ties to Perry and other Trump Administration officials, claims on his web site to be running weekly Bible sessions specially for the Trump Cabinet. He has praised the new administration for its power to “change the course of America in ways that are biblical.”
A former college basketball star turned evangelical Christian whose own church disavowed him over his bigotry and radical theology, Drollinger has variously proclaimed that Catholicism is “the world’s largest false religion,” that female legislators who continue working after having children are sinners, and that homosexuality is an “abomination.” He has also written that social welfare programs are un-Christian. “It is safe to say that God is a Capitalist,” Drollinger once wrote, “not a Communist.”
In a January radio interview, Drollinger praised then-senator Jeff Sessions, who “hungers and thirsts for the Scripture,” for his performance during his confirmation hearing, when he provided a Biblical justification for his draconian views on immigration. “I’ve had the distinct honor of teaching him on this subject, and many others,” Drollinger said. “There’s nothing more exciting, when you’re a Bible teacher, to see one of the guys you’re working with—to see him or her articulate something you’ve taught them when they’re under the gun.”
Vice President Mike Pence, HUD Secretary Ben Carson, Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, Energy Secretary Rick Perry, Attorney General Jeff Sessions, CIA Director Mike Pompeo, nominee for Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue, HHS Secretary Tom Price, and Scott Pruitt, head of the Environmental Protection Agency, have all sponsored the Capitol Ministries.
And what is the Capital Ministries that all these wonderful Republican wingnuts who want to eliminate our form of government and way of life have sponsored? Well, take a look see and try not to fall over. The prototype that Drollinger wishes to reproduce en masse is non other than wingnut Michelle Bachmann, who was so crazy that even the evangelicals asked her to please not run for Congress again. She's too strange even for them. But take a look at what Drollinger says about her. From Capitol Ministries via RawStory:
Capitol Ministries, Drollinger says, is a “para-church ministry” that caters to a “target audience” of U.S. legislators. In Sep. 2015, Drollinger told an interviewer that his dream is to set up a “factory” that pumps out right-wing Christian politicians like former U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN).
Bachmann serves on the board of Capitol Ministries and Drollinger has praised her as having unerring instincts when it comes to applying her Christian faith to the law.
“She thinks Biblically,” he said. “She doesn’t need a whole lot of time to figure out how to vote because she sees the world through a scriptural lens. We need more men and women like her in office.”
O’Connor reported that Drollinger holds three weekly prayer and Bible study groups: “one for Cabinet members (‘7:00 am Wednesdays Mornings. Location Undisclosed. Light Refreshments Served.’); one for the Senate (‘8:00 am Tuesdays, Rotating Offices of Senators. Hot Breakfast Served.’); and one for members of the House (‘Capitol H324: Monday or Tuesday Evenings after First Votes Back. Dinner Served.’)”
Capitol Ministries groups have been sponsored by now-CIA Director Mike Pompeo, Vice President Mike Pence, Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price and Rep. Mike Conaway (R-TX).
And these people are, you'll never believe this one -- wait for it now -- these people are connected to Russia. Yes, you read that correctly, these people are connected to Russia. Read this off the Capitol Ministries website.
Pastor Rachkovski has translated into Russian the book Drollinger authored, Rebuilding America: The Biblical Blueprint. The book explores the biblical priority and mandate as part of the Great Commission for reaching political leaders with the Gospel. The book, which has been re-titled in Russian: Rebuilding A Nation, will be distributed at the meetings.
A number of the Bible studies that Drollinger teaches to U.S. Cabinet members, Senators and Representatives in D.C. have also been translated into Russian and will be given to the Ministry Leader candidates.
Isn't this lovely? Now Vladimir Putin can study the same texts that the Cabinet members are reading and they can all worship together -- that which they really worship which is the almighty dollar. Bother Tillerson is busy, as well you know, making the $500 Billion Exxon deal happen, sans sanctions that Obama imposed. That $500 Billion will sweeten the pot no question.
If you're not convinced at this point how serious this matter is, read this about Brother Sessions, our attorney general, who also attends these prayer meetings. This is what he told the Daily Beast in January, that Secularists Are Unfit To Govern.*
The attorney general nominee told a right-wing extremist three years ago that ‘without God, there is no truth.’ How would he enforce the country’s secular laws
Senator Jeff Sessions, Donald Trump’s pick for attorney general, has come under fire for accepting an award from right-wing extremist David Horowitz.
What Sessions said when he accepted it may prove to be even more explosive.
“Ultimately, freedom of speech is about ascertaining the truth,” Sessions, an Alabama Republican, told Horowitz’s audience on Nov. 14, 2014. “And if you don’t believe there’s a truth, you don’t believe in truth, if you’re an utter secularist, then how do we operate this government? How can we form a democracy of the kind I think you and I believe in… I do believe that we are a nation that, without God, there is no truth, and it’s all about power, ideology, advancement, agenda, not doing the public service.”
The comments have not been previously reported, nor have any of Sessions’s colleagues asked about them at his confirmation hearings.
While plenty of elected officials may hold similar beliefs, Sessions is a nominee for attorney general, the chief law enforcement officer in the country. His comments raise questions as to which set of “truths,” religious or secular, would motivate his Justice Department’s decisions on which laws to prosecute, which liberties to protect, and which interpretations of legal and constitutional texts to adopt.
“It goes against the values our country was founded on to intertwine religion and government in the way that Sessions described,” Michael Keegan, president of the liberal advocacy group People for the American Way, told The Daily Beast. “The equality of every American, regardless of his or her religious beliefs or nonbelief, is one of the core principles of our democracy. If Jeff Sessions can’t understand that, he’s unfit to serve as attorney general.”
The fundamental reason that these wingnuts want a dominionist religious government is because it provides them with a basic paradigm and structure that they can totally control. Power is what it’s all about, if anybody is uncertain about that at this juncture. It's about power, first last and always. Fundamental Christianity is predicated upon male dominance and white supremacy. No one questions the authority of the elders or pastors. The people of whom we are speaking, Sessions, Pence, et al., envision their perfect world, dominated by a Cabal of Leaders who call the shots and nobody questions. It will unquestionably be a lifetime seating arrangement, like the Supreme Court, and the Cabal of Elders will dictate how our country is run. I would also like to point out that Steve Bannon has famously admitted he admired Satan, among a few others. Is that comical, or should we look at that statement in a different light? Steve Bannon is the one who appointed Jeff Sessions to his post as Attorney General, if this is news to you. Jeff Sessions is Steve Bannon’s mentor, according to the Washington Post.
This is the time to realize that this is not a matter of freedom of religion. The issue here is the separation of church and state. We need to address this issue forthwith and right now. Erik Prince has made no bones about his dominionist agenda. He is the one who bankrolled Mike Pence so he could get on the Republican ticket. Read my diary to see where Mike Pence is coming from and you may find it an eye opener. Mike Pence is very dangerous. He’s a heartbeat away from the presidency and that makes us a heartbeat away from a dominionist takeover engineered by Erik Prince. Take a look and reason through this diary and tell me if you decide otherwise. I would be most curious to know what you think. Mike Pence Is A Theocrat. His Christian Supremacist Followers Seek To Take Over America. Seriously.
I know I sound like Cassandra the prophetess of doom, or in the alternative, Chicken Little, but the handwriting is on the wall in neon and blinking. Now is the time to take action before it's too late. We need to write our elected representatives and tell them our concerns about the separation between church and state. If we don't do this now and if Mike Pence ends up in the White House — it will too late.
