Rev. William Barber, president of the North Carolina NAACP and leader of Moral Mondays in North Carolina, fires up the crowd and connects all religions, Black Lives Matter and Fight for $15 with justice issues that Americans share.
Barber spoke in Memphis April 4, 2017, the 49th anniversary of the murder of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Organizers and citizens from Memphis and across the country marched from City Hall to the National Civil Rights Museum at the Lorraine Motel, where King was killed April 4, 1968.
The Talledega College Great Tornado Band punctuated the march as the crowd of more than a thousand chanted and carried signs that read, “I Am A Man” or “I Am A Woman.”
